Manufacturing operations are undoubtedly unique for various industries. However, standard equipment is the Decanter Centrifuge, which works as an ideal dewatering/wastewater filtration solution. This blog covers a little introduction about what Decanter Centrifuges are, how they work, centrifuge repair tips, and more.
What is a Decanter Centrifuge?
A decanter centrifuge helps to segregate liquids and
solids and become the sun of any manufacturing industry universe. Industries
like chemical, drilling, manufacturing, and oil are all included in the former.
Competing daily operations would be a nightmare without the Decanter Centrifuge.
How does a Decanter Centrifuge Operate?
The principle behind the equipment is based on the
theory of gravitational separation and force of centrifugation.Rotation speed
between 1000 to 4000 times the normal gravitational force separates the internal
components in seconds.
Step by Step Process of Decanter Centrifuge Process:
1. The slurry (solution to be separated) is inserted into
the centrifuge through a connecting pipe onto a conveyor belt.
2. The conveyor
pushes the slurry through a nozzle into a bowl area.
3. The bowl then rotates at high speeds (1000-4000g) to
induce gravitational/centrifugal forces.
4. The forces separate the solid material from the liquid
within seconds.
5. The conveyor delivers the solid material upwards,
where it is discharged through a nozzle.
6. The solid material is thus discarded, and the purified
liquid is released from a separate output.
At Sentrimax, we believe ideal maintenance/repair is a
product of adequate care/reliability and your service provider. Our Centrifuge
repair experts operate globally to assist you in emergencies and call-outs.
The solid material is removed; the purified liquid is released from a separate
output.
